Presently, the advanced domestic shipyard has begun to implement shipbuildingaccuracy management. However, the extension is also being limited in the hull areas, aswell as in the production process of shipbuilding, where there is often the contradiction ofconstruction between outfitting and hull. Hence, shipbuilding accuracy management shouldbe comprehensive and systematic. Thus, when considering hull accuracy management,consideration should also be given to the match of outfitting accuracy. Conclusively,outfitting accuracy management is imperative under these circumstances.The research on the most important portion of ship outfitting, the accuracymanagement of pipe outfitting, has been studied according to the existing hull accuracymanagement system, and with respect to the outfitting accuracy management modes offoreign advanced shipyards. Similar to the construction of the hull, the production line ofpipe is also from the manufacturer to begin with; using the pipe-bending reboundphenomenon as the research background, the spring-back principle was theoreticallyanalysed, and the calculation formula was derived. The study has spanned from the singlepipe production to unit installation and location, both of which need the accuracy controlstandards. Relying on the management experience and control standards of foreignadvanced shipyards, along with a multitude of surveys, the pipe outfitting accuracy controlbenchmark was concluded, which was suitable for the Chinese shipbuilding productionmodel. Next, the outfitting accuracy check sheet was designed and optimized, and finally acomparatively comprehensive shipyard accuracy management system was constructed.Furthermore, various experiments were conducted to sum up the resilient regularity inorder to make the elastic control for each pipe’s own manufacture accuracy. The difficultyof implementing pipe outfitting accuracy control lies in the installation process. Using thedouble bottom block of an oil tanker as an example, the position of the pipe on the blockwas monitored, and the matching actuality between pipe and block was analyzed accordingto the designed outfitting accuracy check sheet. The accuracy demand of the marine ismore strict than that of the general ships. Additionally, the method of accurately locatingthe pipe-opening in the spudcan, which was the important part of the Jack-Up drilling rig,illustrated the measurement and application of the accuracy control. The main purpose ofthis paper was to reduce splice pipes, avoid hidden safety trouble taken by areluctance-assembly, and reach the perfect match accurately between pipe outfitting and hull, which was based on the study of pipe outfitting accuracy control. However, the use ofsplice pipes is inevitable at present times, and whether the pipe is able to successfullyconnect largely depends on the manufacture accuracy of splice pipe. The successful use of“Splice Pipe Recurrent Equipment System” has greatly increased the splice pipe’s accuracy,and achieved the conversion from manual production to semi-automatic, digital simulatedproduction, and has ultimately reduced the waste of resource, manpower and time.The innovation of this article lies within making the pipe outfitting accuracybenchmark, which includes fabrication and installation, designing the pipe outfittingaccuracy measurement check sheet, combined with the hull accuracy table to form a morecomparatively comprehensive accuracy management system; the applications of Marine G2software simulation export the accuracy of the actual fabrication and installation of thepipeline, and guiding the accuracy control to pipe-opening in the spudcan, allowing forone-time positioning.
