The Chinese automotive industry is surging ahead in recent years with carindustry as its core. The increase of national income and decrease of car prices makecar popularization go fast. The car growth in China in the first half of2012hit anall-time high and the national car holding exceeded11billion of which60%are familycar. Family cars are developing in the direction of small-displacement due to vehicleand vessel taxation charged according to engine capacity, continuously increasing fuelprice and deterioration of global environment. All these factors make the clamour forenergy saving and emission reduction grow higher and provide a broader space for thedevelopment of small-displacement car. The best selling small-displacement carverified that the economy, practicality and enengy saving of the small displacement carhas got the recognition of the market. Small displacement doesn’t mean lower powerbut high power with low fuel consumption by the application of advanced technology. It can not only help to the driver to enjoy the driving like big-displacement and themore important is that it can save energy and reduce emission. This article presents the piston design for the new coming1.0L TFSI(Turbo FuelStratified Infection) gasoline engine according to the parameters which are supplied bythe OEM. By the FEA analysis, the temperature field, thermo-stress distribution, thermal deformation, mechanical strength and fatigue strength were calculated. Thetemperature field testing, pin bore fatigue testing and various reliability testing couldbe performed to verify the analysis result. The blow-by could be reduced to get aoptimization design. The result also could be verified by the engine performancetesting, blow-by testing testing.
