Most people increasingly realized that excessive consumption natural resources lead toenvironment damage and pollution problem. Fortunately the consciousness ofconservation resources and environmental protection are also enhanced more and moreas sustainable development is proposed. When sustainable development become aglobalization strategy, as the outcome of coordinated development between economicsocial and environmental protection, green building in today’s technology level is thebest choice for the sustainable development of architectural design, construction andthe operating. And the standardized development of green building must be on the basisof green building evaluation system, which is scientific and rigorous.Around this specific study object, namely "Hong Kong regional Green Building EvaluationSystem Research", this article, which starts with the dialectical relationship betweenmacroscopic and microcosmic, consists of four parts:The chapter2of this article, which is made up of5sections, is conposed of regionalcharacteristics of Hong Kong residential building. This chapter mainly including regionalcharacteristics overview of HK, the HK climate characteristics, high-density developmentcharacteristics, real estate property type of new housing projects in HK, and othercharacteristics of the new housing projects in HK.The regional case analysis of HK green building evaluation criteria (residential building),in the beginning of chapter3, briefly introduces econo-technical indicator of the caseabout Qiqing Estate. Then the chapter will show us the detail of Hong Kong GreenBuilding Evaluation Criteria for Residential Buildings (GBL(HK)) and Hong Kong BuildingEnvironmental Assessment Methodam Plus New Buildings Version1.1(HK BEAM PlusNB1.1). Five sections, the third to seventh, are the focus of this chapter. They consistof five evaluation criterias, including land conservation and outdoor environment,energy conservation and energy utilization, water conservation and water resourcesutilization, material conservation and material resource utilization, and indoor environment quality, namly "four conservation one pro-environment". Combined withthe project which the author taked part in all and regional characteristics of HK, thischapter use the way of crosswise contrast research to analyse the difference betweenGBL(HK) and the regional characteristics in HK.The study to compare with HK green building evaluation criteria (residential building)and BEAM Plus NB1.1is in chapter4, which is made up of4sections. This chapterindicated the analysis of the differences between the Hong Kong Green Building Council(HKGBC), China Green Building Council (CHINAGBC), and China Green Building (HongKong) Council. The main method is crosswise contrast research between certificationorganization, standard preparation, and certification program.The prospect of HK regional green building evaluation system is in the end of this article,which is made up of5sections. This chapter will clearly put forward the proposal, whichincluding improving HK green building evaluation criteria, motivating policy support,market promoting, developing green building in the aspect of research, education,qualification certification organization, and effectively supervise. We can be lookingforward to the development of HK regional green building evaluation system in a morescientific, rigorous, systematic, suitable way, to promote the vigorous development ofour national’s green building evaluation system.We through the research summarize the main idea of HK green building evaluationcriteria (residential building). we take a step forward and make some suggestions toimprove evaluation criteria and evaluation system of Hong Kong Green BuildingEvaluation Criteria for Residential Buildings, based on the provisions and target set ofBEAM Plus NB1.1.
