| Urban rail transport is becoming the main means to solve the problem of trafficcongestion. According to the information of the Ministry of Housing, as of2012, China has14cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Wuhan opening of rail transportation, amount to56lines in operation with the total mileage of1714km. In addition, according to the relevantdata from2011to2015, the amount of investment will reach1156.8billion yuan for thesubway construction in China. Further, it is expected that the operation lines will be up to173and the total mileage accumulation of6200km. However, with the launching of large-scaleurban rail projects, the planning and management of the schedule of subway construction hasbecome an important factor to hinder the healthy and rapid development of urban rail transit.The planning and controlling of the city urban rail transport scheduling is an important part ofthe project management. With the characteristics of long construction period, the large-scaleof construction and covers a wide range, as well as uncertainty, etc, the difficulties of theimplementation of rail transit construction in accordance with the schedule is much creased.Therefore, before the construction of the urban rail, it is cannot be ignored to fully considerand respond to the elements which would possible hinder the process of urban railconstruction and develop a more reasonable project schedule, so that the project proceedsmoothly as planned. Based on the critical chain project management technology, andcombined with the special features of China’s rail transit construction schedule management,the following researches are mainly carried:First, with domestic and foreign research on critical chain project manageme nt as thefoundation, the critical chain project management’s basic theory, and basic assumption, thecore content and implementation steps are summarized. Combined with the characteristics ofurban rail transit construction project schedule management, the applicability of the urban railtransit project, the deficiencies and improvement method of the critical chain technology forthe urban rail transit project are stated, and then the critical chain method applied in urban railtransit project schedule management is more targeted. Second, the method for the determining of the critical chain duration and the calculationmethod of three kinds of buffer are presented based on the characters of subway stationscheduling management. Among them, the duration reduction factor is put forward and theconcept of safety time and its determination method were put forward. The impacts of riskpreference degree and position weight on the size of the buffers are introduced, too. Then, theclassification standard as well as the appropriate treatment strategy of constrained resource isalso presented.Third, based on the analysis of the tunnel construction characteristics, relationshipsbetween the critical chain buffer size and characters of construction technology, the reso urcesupplying and scheduling, the complexity of activities and the risk degrees of project managerwere studied. Then, a new method for the determination of operation duration and the buffersize was presented based on the PERT. Meanwhile, the method for determining the correlationcoefficient of the process complexity is reformed.Fourth, the new methods were applied to a tunnel of Zhengzhou1#rail transitscheduling as an example for empirical research, and a comparison was made between thecritical chain scheduling and the primary project progress plan, and found that the newmethod for the urban rail transit project has strong applicability.Finally, accompanied with the critical chain method, the feasibility of the projectschedule management software Primavera P6applied to urban rail transit project was studied,and a more detailed discussion of the critical chain schedule controlling based on the threetypes of buffer are illustrated, either. |
