Research On The Design Of Children’s Indoor Recreational Space In The Urban Public Space

Urban public space is one of the most frequent places for children to participate inactivities, in the urban public space children can come into contact with all sorts of people,Observe various manners and undertake simple social, it can be said that the urban publicspace is an important part for children’s early social learning. The recreation activity is animportant way of the participation in the urban public space for children, children can gainexperience and cognition in the process of recreation. As a result, the recreation space in theurban public space has very important significance to the development of children’s growth.With the urbanization process speeding up, the land resources reducing and theenvironment polluted increasingly serious, suitable outdoor space for children is graduallyreducing, nowadays, in the aspect of recreation activity space of children in urban public space,part of the outdoor space is gradually being replaced by the indoor space, Which is alsocapable of the recreational activities that cannot be carried out in outdoor due to thecharacteristic of its own. So the indoor recreational space in the urban public space plays avery important role in the children’s growth development stageBecause children and adult have different requirements on indoor recreation space inphysiology, psychology, behavior, so in urban public space, it becomes more and moreimportant to design children recreation space according to children’s demand. In this paper,the children’s indoor recreational space in the urban public space is taken as the researchobject, by literature reading, field trips, a large amount of case analysis and detail questionnaire,it is analytical investigated on the characteristics of activities of children inurban public space and children’s demand for indoor recreational space, and thedistribution,status quo of children’s indoor recreational space in the urban public space, thefeatures and existing problems of different types of children indoor recreational space in urbanpublic space is summed up and finally trying to find designing methods and strategies of thechildren’s indoor recreational space in the urban public space, that can adapt to a children’sgrowth and it is hoped to be able to provide a basis to predict the design trend of the future.
