Rapidly economic development has inevitably brought about many problems, such asexcessive consumption of energy, the deterioration of the environment, so saving energy andreducing emission, using new energy and improving the utilization of energy have become thetop priority of the Government. Solar-assisted air source heat pump hot water systemachieved the above effects.This paper studied the solar radiation calculation methods first, then studied relatedtheories about solar water heating system, air source heat pump water heating system andsolar-assisted air source heat pump hot water system. On these bases, a complete set of solar-assisted air source heat pump hot water system for a university students’ bath in Harbin hasbeen designed. Then established the solar hot water system simulation model, air source heatpump hot water system simulation models and solar-assisted air source heat pump hot watersystem simulation model by using TRNSYS software. Through these three models, analyzedthe factors affecting the efficiency of the solar collector, including outdoor temperature, solarradiation, solar collector inlet temperature; analyzed the affecting factors of air source heatpump COP, including outdoor temperature, air source heat pump outlet water temperature;and calculating each month and the entire operation cycle performance of the system.On the basis of the above study, the solar-assisted air source heat pump hot water systemwas optimized by using TRNSYS software, including the collector slope, the total area of thecollector, the volume of hot water storage tank, the volume of heat storage tank. The collectorangle ranged from0°to90°, selected the angle which made the collector got the maximumradiation. The total collector area set to20%,30%,40%and50%, selected by measuringoptimizing value. Selected three different volumes of hot water storage tank, measured it byheat storage. Selected three different volumes of heat storage tank, measured it by if the watertemperature can meet the requirements and the operating costs. At last obtained the mostappropriate hot water system for the bath by optimizing.At last, analyzed the operating costs and environmental benefits of the hot water systemof the bath in a university in Harbin.
