“Creature” means creating all things, in this paper refers the process of creating things.When the nature of raw materials couldn’t satisfy human needs, human used their wisdom andhands to create a new "thing". The creation of human activities is the purpose of the creativeactivity. In the creation process, the human being continues to create the material progress andcultural and ideological progress during hunting for the meaning and achievingself-improvement.“Implication” means inner meaning. Everything has its significance. Human doesn’t onlylive in objective world, but also in the meaningful world. The phenomenon of “Black Box” toproducts is serious, thus there is no specific relationship between the outlook of products andits function. The focus is how to establish the new rule of products, and the essence of thefocus is also begins with the meaning of the products. As the carrier of meaning for theproducts, it is like an article to be understood by the customer. The designer shall blend theidea and emotion into the product so that the customers get the emotional resonance,furthermore it is can be accepted by customer.Product semantics is researched for meaning of product language, and the productlanguage also has its grammar and expression. In this paper, firstly, I discuss the designsemantics concept generally, and in-depth exploration for semantics application from art,architecture, clothes and flat field. Next it introduces the semantics. The construction of thesemantics is discussed based on extensive and connotative significances and also states thedifference and relationship between them. In this paper also analyzes the emotionalexperience to the customer and discusses the relationship between the semantics and emotion,therefore, the target of semantics expression is clarified. The product connotation need getmore attention, whereas the designer shall consider the customer appeal. In this base, it isspecified the design process and principle of product semantics. At last, this paper takes thetea table as example for researching the semantics application to tea table design. I did thequestionnaire survey for tea table semantics used by semantics difference method. Accordingto the analysis, I got the people cognitive tendency for the tea table semantics, which providesthe ideas and enlightenment for my future design.
