The development of the Energy-saving and new energy vehicle technology hasgradually begun to reach a consensus, which in the international automotive industryarea,and it is also an important choice for the automotive industry in the future. The newenergy automotive industry is not only reaching a period of comprehensive restructuringof energy, but also reaching a new period of development. Because of the developmentand widespread use in the every country’s energy-saving and new energy vehicle, thevehicle structure has been becoming more and more intelligent. And the modernelectronic control technology is widely used in automotive research, makingincreasingly high degree of automation, we must more and more play the emphasis onnew energy automobile safety and battery safety monitoring. Also, the development ofnew energy vehicle technology is requiring the improvement of detection technology.Vehicle terminal is an assurance for information systems which can manage vehicle andmake the vehicle performance, safety monitoring, and related information collection.This article describes a vehicle terminal which is based on the VxWorks which is areal-time embedded operating system. When the vehicle is working, the vehicleterminal can collect the data with high-performance. When the vehicle terminal thatinstalled in the running vehicle is working, it can make data exchanged with the vehicleController, collect the operating parameters and fault information by the CAN bus andJ1939communication protocol, also, the vehicle terminal can get the vehicle locationinformation in time by the GPS module and vehicle information such as vehicletemperature by other module. Then these operating parameters and positioninginformation can be sent to the remote data center by wireless network.Vehicle terminal which is used for real-time data acquisition monitoring has somany functions, such as, real-time location, acquisition, processing and communications,and it can improve the safety of the vehicle effectively, provide real-time safetyperformance data for vehicle to users, contributed to the overall performance of the carcontrol, In summary, the vehicle terminal can prevent the occurrence of various fault car,guarantee the safety of the vehicle user, and reduce damage to the car. When the newenergy vehicle is running, the vehicle terminal can get the full information collection,accurate and detailed records of data and analysis results are provided by the application of system, and use the scientific means to verify effectiveness of the new energyvehicles in the practical application of the "energy saving", to provide the data supportfor industrialization and technological advances. It also can provide basis forgovernment decision making whether to promote "new energy vehicles" applications; itcan help the vehicle assessment and assessment and improvement of scientific evidence.And it very important for the China’s new energy automotive industry formation andimprovement for international competitiveness, an important significance that protectthe environment and maintain the sustainable development of China’s automobile.
