All the world are facing a series of urban problems, such as population density, traffic congestion, excessive energy consumption and a shortage of space resourcestoday. Therefore, orderly, rational and efficient development and use ofunderground space resources is not only a measure of the standard of a country’scomprehensive strength, but also an effective way to solve above problems. Due tothe special nature of the underground space-underground, its physiological, psychological problems caused by the space environment will get more attentionfrom the public, architects and researchers. The study of the underground spacerelatively is in early stage in our country. The cold region city underground nodespace user-friendly design research is in its infancy. Especially in the exit andinternal, user-friendly design of the space environment is not arouse our attention. This paper begins with the meaning of the development process and theexisting problems of the cold region city underground node space. With features ofcold region city, characteristics of underground space and humane connotation, thispaper presents the main points of the cold region city underground node spaceuser-friendly design. And in the third and fourth chapter, two typical space-entrance and interior space design strategies and methods are discussed. Entrancespace design shows the corresponding design method from the response to the coldlocal climate and humane point of view. In interior design, lists the user-friendlydesign from indoor outdoor space and the space inside and outside the integration ofuser-friendly design strategy from the point of view of the response to cold localclimate, the level of human physiological, psychological and emotional needs. Withhome and abroad underground node spatial design cases, this paper discusses howspecific architectural design method to create a humane underground node spaceenvironment.
