Along with the development of urbanization, private cars in our country increases rapidly. Meanwhile, as auto mobile becomes one of the major transportation tool, urban parking starts bothering our daily life in a constant way.Aiming at solving this problems, the construction of building up underground garages is in full swing. But due to various reasons such as lack of humanistic care, the underground garages function has only meet the very basic standard, which is just a boring container for cars. Besides, most of them are with early stage design and construction issues, and in the condition of being dark and messy. Accompanied with people’s higher demanding for beauty and spiritual underground garages function also has been improved accordingly. People are no longer stratified with the lifeless environment, which always bring them negative emotion. At the same time, humanized design has become the new need.This paper is aiming at improve the humanized design of the underground garage space. The researching object is the underground parking garage of the Zhengzhou, combined with examples of research, a large number of data collection and analysis about theory of humanized design, environmental psychology and humanistic psychology. With a highlighted aspects of relationship between consumer demand and the underground garage space environment, this paper has summarizes and concluded current problems of the humanization design existing in the underground garage space. Propose targeted optimization solutions, in order to improve the overall environmental quality of underground garage space. Explore from the areas of the initial plan, entrance design, visual guidance system, barrier-free design, atmosphere build of space, ect. And as conclusion,summerized the future trends of the underground construction.
