Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) remote sensing has a large advantages in the construction of digital cities, major disaster rescue and so on. Now, UAV remote sensing are playing an important role in these areas. However, there are some problems.This paper take into account these problems happened in the entire operation of UAV remote sensing and use some existing methods and proposed some new methods to design an UAV flight control system and an image processing software system. The two systems can solve the various problems encountered in the UAV remote sensing.The design of UAV flight control system using remote server technology and Internet communication technology that enables the user management UAV flight operations tasks simply regardless of other conditions such as equipment and location. The design of UAV’s image processing software system use a server in command line interface as the computing cores and a graphical user interface program as the client. You can enjoy cloud-based services for remote sensing image processing using the services provided by the server. Furthermore, the server can also provide services to the public who pay for this services.Contents and innovations of this paper are listed as follows follows:1) This paper design an UAV flight control system and an image processing software system by using a variety of hardware and software technologies. Those two system make UAV remote sensing easily.2) We design an embedded program to control GPS-OEM chips and other low-cost devices on the UAV. We proposed a method that improve the accuracy of the exterior orientation elements by time synchronization.3) Through the study of a variety of image processing algorithms we found the hidden troubles in the RAN SAC algorithm for image stitching. In order to facilitate image processing we propose a smart image matching algorithm that the result can be controlled.
