With the fast development of the economy,the functionality and for m of commercial space is changed greatly and also meet with new confus ion and challenge in the process of evolution.The contemporarily commer cial space focus more on the diversity of functional requirement,the consu mption of cultural symbols,the autonomy of experience and the consistent or scattered visual pleasure.But it is the freedom of using the diverse lang uage makes the commercial space slip into the whirlpool of interpretation.The designers have more and more vocabulary and method for design, b ut for itself in terms of the development of commercial space,the abundan ce of language made the blindness and lack of language.That is to say the commercial space currently is in a mess.However, commercial space and function demand tends diversity, spatial ambiguity is an inevitable trend. I ntegrating the turnaround of philosophy language and architecture langua ge,the thesis introduces linguistics into the research of commercial space and bring forward the analysis on the Meta-Language level.Using the free dom and limitation of linguistics,the thesis attempts to find methods to set tle the problem of commercial space that is in the chaos.The thesis discusses the turnaround of philosophy language and arc hitecture language,analysizes their advantages and disadvantages and intr oduces the linguistics into the research of commercial space.Facing the pr oblems and contradictions of commercial space,the thesis bring forward t o use meta-Language which is used to explain language to find the possib le way to solve the problems. After the discussion of the relationship amo ng consumption patterns, cultural habits and life style in the society,the th esis reproduce,annotate and interpret the real meaning of words in the for m of commercial space from the perspective of Meta-Language.The thesi s proposed the hierarchical analysis of Meta-Language in commercial spa ce together with the compositeness and the original nature,and put forwar d the solving strategy of Meta-Language interpretation whirlpool.Finally,t he thesis proposed the three levels of language expression in commercial space,trying to find the possibility of ambiguous space that can make com mercial space developed fully freedom and free control in the context of t he diversity of language.
