The light steel structure system is widely used in low-rise residential building, especially in Europe and America, but is rarely applied in China, fire performance of light-gauge steel residence on fire, research results are not many, there is no corresponding design specification.In this paper, the finite element simulation analysis on the fire of light steel structure residential fire performance,in order to understand deeply the mechanism.First of all, through the finite element software ANSYS on C steel and gypsum board is connected to the wall temperature field numerical simulation analysis, temperature field distribution of C type steel column section master.Secondly, study the different column, wall materials, wall thickness, different column between the filler and other factors on the C temperature field distribution of section steel column.Finally, through the force performance of a frame of the light steel residential building, analyses factors and the wall panels, fire location, fire has effect on the light steel structure residential properties.
