Design Of SRM Speed Control System Based On DSP And Its Application On The Elevator Traction System

Switched reluctance motor (SRM) is developed based on stepping motor. SRMincorporate the merits of both DC motor and AC servo motor. It has advantages of simplestructure, speed performance, low cost, high reliability, high conversion rate of energy, lowloss, high efficiency. SRM speed control system is similar to or is even better than someordinary AC drive system and DC speed control system. It has a huge developmentpotentiality in the electric drive field, as it has been one of the most hot research in this field.Elevator traction machine is the core of the system of elevator traction. Its performancehas a direct impact on the entire elevator system performance. At present PMSM is themainstream of the elevator traction machine. But PMSM needs a lot of permanent magnets,and this made it cost too much. Therefore, this paper combines the characteristics of elevatortraction machine, and put forward the switch reluctance motor as elevator traction machine.However, the most important issue is that SRM has high torque ripple when it work in a lowspeed. So this paper’s research is how to take effective control strategy to achieve the purposeof reducing the torque ripple on the design of speed control system.In this paper, firstly, in-depth study of the relevant literature at home and abroad of theelevator traction system and switched reluctance motor, know about its research status anddifficult. And then research on several torque ripple minimization control strategy based onthe the elevator traction system performance requirements and the working principle of theswitched reluctance motor, and performance characteristics. On this basis, this paper havedesigned switched reluctance drive system based on the Texas Instruments DSPTMS320F28035control chip for the0.5kw three-phase32/24poles switched reluctance motor.And this paper has built test platform of the SRD speed control system.
