Engineering construction standard is a standard classification in our country, acomplement to the national standards and industry standards, setted to adapt to China’s vastterritory, geographical environment, administrative system and administrativerequirements,played an important effect in promoting the technical progress, improve thequality of building products, standardize the order of construction market and to ensure thesafety of people’s life, improve the quality of life made certain contribution to the goodoperation of the national economy and social life of orderly development,but analysis of thelocal standard with role and status in the engineering construction is not in-depth.This thesis choose local standards in Guangdong province as the research object, basedon arranging the related theoretical literature, design questionnaire of "local standardevaluation system of research of Guangdong province" with the Likert scale.investigation tothe professional practitioners of Guangdong province planning, survey and design,construction, supervision, experiment, quality management, scientific research and others,utilization Cronbach’s alpha to test of the questionnaire of reliability, the result is satisfactory.After statistical analysis has the following findings: there are39local standards ofengineering construction in Guangdong province, lower than the national standard38.77%and the industry regulations27.97%as a commonly used in the engineering construction onthe basis of the26.91%,by contrast, found that employees who worked more than15years,the local standard of utilization rate to be31.25%, flat with the national standard and industrystandard, indicating that local standards in engineering construction have played equal statusand role as national standards and industry standards.The positive influence and role with local standards of Guangdong province inengineering construction is standarded industry production, improved the level of industrytechnology, improved production efficiency, improved the quality of engineering and life,improved the efficiency of resource utilization;Disadvantages including engineeringconstruction place lack of standardized management measures, formulate the program is nottransparent, standardized test not enough, lack of form a complete set of problem such ascertification system, all of these are restricting the local standard of Guangdong province to play a positive role in engineering construction in further.To strengthen the roleof local standard in the construction of Guangdong province, thegovernment management departments of local standard should further perfect the system oflaws and regulations, formulate local regulations for the standardization of engineeringconstruction in Guangdong province, perfect legislation and regional standards program,invite people from all walks of life to participate in society, open and transparent; improve theeffective assessment of local standard evaluation system; To strengthen the regulation ofexecution standard, the implementation of standards.strictly. Long term, standard systemconstruction should be with international practice, exert the market function, improve industryassociation function, gradually by the industry association management and constructionstandards, although this goal has a long way, after all,it is the development direction.
