The rolling bearing is an important part of the bogie, which is also one of the parts working in the most threatening working conditions. The state of the rolling bearing in the working process has direct impact on the train safety and the bearing bears larger radial load function in operation. Therefore, rolling bearing with extremely high reliability is required in operation. However, we are not acknowledged to the state of the rolling bearing in operation in the train of China at present.Taking the axle box bearing of the CRH3EMU as research object, this paper firstly completes the finite element modeling and simulating analysis of six basic contact models and the calculation of the six basic contact models is deduced according to the Hertz theory. By comparing the results of the finite element analysis and the results of the Hertz theory, the correctness of the simulating results are verified. Secondly, the load distribution of the roller with different convexity is studied. In order to get the wheel displacement excitation, the study does the line test on the acceleration of the axle box, processes the testing data and then does the frequency domain integral to the acceleration data processed. The vertical dynamic model of the vehicle with secondary suspension is established to calculate the vertical load of the bearing. Based on the test and research in the finite element model of the bearing, the boundary conditions in the finite element analysis of the tapered roller bearing are determined. Finally, by analyzing the finite element simulation in different working condition on the bearing, the relation between the vertical load of the bearing and the maximal contact stress of inner ring, outer ring and rolling body is obtained. One dimensional stress spectrum of the outer ring, inner ring and rolling body is obtained. According to the linear Miner theory, combined with the S-N curve, the life of the bearing is estimated. The stress spectrum of the bearing provides basic data for judgment for bearing fault, which has far reaching significance and application value for improving the fatigue life of bearing and reducing the development costs.
