Vortex pump impeller machinery as conveying liquid widely used in fire protection, boiler feed water, water supply and General Department of ship turbocharger. At present, the main problem of vortex pump is low efficiency, how to improve the rotor and the channel structure, and improve the internal flow field and improve the pump efficiency, is a study of vortex pump.Because the flow within the vortex pump is very complex, is a three-dimensional vortex movement has not compressible turbulent flow, using traditional methods is difficult to effectively on the internal flow analysis, simulation of the numerical calculation method of internal flow field of vortex pump.In this paper, for the three-dimensional modeling of the vortex pump through the modeling software Pro/E, carries on the grid division of the internal flow region using the GAMBIT software; using CFD software Fluent for the numerical calculation of the internal flow field of the pump, hydraulic characteristic parameters of the pump performance curve, external use table processing software Excel and curve fitting software Origin7.5vortex pump drawing.Optimization designs of the vortex pump are as follows: a plurality of structural parameters of leaf number, the blades of the impeller structure, channel thickness, channel width is optimized, a detailed analysis of non-rated characteristics of each model, the optimum size of multiple model. By structure parameter optimization the optimization design of the overall structure of vortex pump. This paper also introduces the vortex pump experimental method, and the methods of optimal pump improve the operational efficiency of the software design using Fluent.Finally, in section optimization design of vortex pump, the working curve of vortex pump model, through comparing the blades staggered and symmetrical about the impact on the performance of vortex pump. Through optimization of the model to increased in the part performance.
