Management Of Automobile Components Development Process In GY Corporation CR Project

As the automobile industry continues to advance the integration of inernational, newproduct development and marketing efforts are also increasingly strengthened in domestic andforeign auto companies. New product development is very critical because it had long cycle,big investment and high risk characters, and how to develop a new and better productsuccessfully to enable enterprise in an invincible position in the competition becomes a majorconcern of the automobile enterprise. So, process management of new product development isvery important and valuable to project success and competitive power improvement for theauto companies.This paper discussed the application of project management in automobile partsdevelopment process, through a product development process management of research andanalysis in a subsidiary company(GY) of Guangzhou Automobile Group,Firstly, this paper outlined the relevant theoretical knowledge of project management, aswell as domestic and foreign auto companies product development management status,thereby based on GY company’s parts development management, analyzed the main problemsin GY company CR project development process. And then, through project planning andcontroling, product design, development and project risk issues, critical node assessmentactivities and other aspects, the critial issues of the entire product development process werein depth researched and analysis in this paper.Finally, through the study of CR project in parts development process, we knew therestill had deficiencies about the mothed of management in this project, and we also proposed toimprove the direction of new projects development and management in the future. That was,we must base on the theoretical knowledge of project management, more in-depth understandof the various stages of the project life cycle content of the work required to complete thesignificance of each stage of the assessment work to do, really grasp the status ofimplementation of each specific work, in order to ensure the achievement of the ultimate goalof the project. Through the effective mangement of new product development process, overall productquality can be improved, development cycles can be shorten, and the demanding of differentcustomers can be satisfied, that is every automobile company development goals.
