The Britain even the whole western capitalist world is under change after the SecondWorld War.Alison and Peter Smithson are the most influential architects from the Britain after war.Their unique thought on architects gives us hope, during their fight with traditional power.Generally speaking, the early architecture concepts of Alison and Peter Smithson(1950—1970) has three parts:“As Found” with the Independent Group, New Brutalism,Team Ⅹ’s argument about the city.“As Found” with the Independent Group is related to thepop art in England, New Brutalism concerns single buildings, while Team Ⅹ’s argumentabout the city is about urban problems. However, the three parts are interactional. Theyhappened during the same time.“As Found” lays the foundation of New Brutalism and TeamⅩ’sargument about the city in ethics.In this article, we will talk a lot about aesthetics and historical events including someimportant people in architecture history such as Le Corbusier, James Stirling. To know aboutthem means a lot to us. My purpose to write about this paper is to show the whole story aboutthe early architecture concepts of Alison and Peter Smithson to everyone.
