Since the21st century, The economic development of China has entered a rapid development stage as the continuous improvement of marketization degree and the continuous progress of the reform and opening. As mainstay industry of the national economy, chemical industry has also developed rapidly. Hazardous materials have accounted for a large proportion in chemical raw materials and products, which will definitely lead to a lot of hazardous materials transport demand. Due to the restrictions of railway and air hazardous materials transport, the majority of hazardous materials via road transport. A large number of hazardous materials vehicles transport on the road, which forms the mobile source of risk. The situation of road transport becomes more and more significant. The path optimization of hazardous materials road transport can both significantly reduce the risk and costs of road transport through rigorous route planning in the conditions of completing the transport task timely and smoothly. Therefore, the path optimization of hazardous materials transport has great theoretical and practical significance.This paper introduces the present situation of risk measurement and path optimization research of the road dangerous goods transportation, which introduces the concepts of hazardous materials and the requirements of hazardous materials road transport. It also gives the basic methods and procedures of the path optimization. From the perspective of accidents, it systematical analyzes the factors affecting the dangerous goods road transportation, including human factors, vehicle factors, road factors and so on. Besides, it systematic analyzes the affecting factors of the risk of hazardous materials road transport and establishes a risk measure index system. It also establishes a risk measurement model based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and establishes the multi-objective decision matrix of transport risk, transport time and transport cost based on the risk measurement model and gets the result by gray situation decision and ELECTREâ…¡. Finally, it gets the optimize route through the path optimization of Wuhan to Anqing. It proved the rationality and algorithm feasibility of the model through the analysis and calculation of algorithm example.This paper has a certain practical significance which can reduce the transport risk and transport cost best for the hazardous materials producers or hazardous materials transportation enterprises in the condition of meeting the transit time.
