Submarine water supply pipeline system is an important approach to meet water resource for offshore island, since water shortage may affect the development of islands.Using adaptive pressurized system can improve the load adaptability and the energy-saving effect of Submarine water supply pipeline. This article introduced the basic structure and principle of sea-crossing adaptive pressurized water supply piping system, by comparing with conventional pumping station system, energy saving characteristics of adaptive pressurized system were analyzed, the water pump pressure and energy consumption of different days’water process lines were calculated and compared, the water pump power consumption process lines of two pressurized systems were separately drew, and the energy-saving efficiency of adaptive pressure system were analyzed under the conditions of different water process lines. Results show that when the water process fluctuates wildly, using adaptive pressurized system can improve the energy-saving efficiency of water conveyance system well.Adaptive pressure system across the sea in the process of switching transients is also facing the problem of water hammer response. In this paper, the numerical simulation method of characteristics is used, firstly, the response of water hammer of adaptive pressure system in the process of switching transient is studied, including Transient pipe flow and the pressure fluctuations In the process of opening and stopping pump, and the simulation results of adaptive pressure system and the general pressure system pumping stations are compared, including a comparison of the pressure fluctuations and Transient pipe flow between before the pump and after the pump; results showed that:in adverse conditions, Moments of backflow may happen when the pump starts in adaptive pressure system, the pressure fluctuations are similar to ordinary pressure system; whereas when the pump stops, no matter before and after the pump, pressure fluctuations of the adaptive pressure system are lower than normal pressure system, so compared with the ordinary pressure system, it has certain advantages in terms of water hammer response. In addition, the paper compares the water hammer response characteristics of the two compression systems under the different upstream and downstream water level difference, pointing out the advantages of adaptive pressure system. Finally, the paper also gives the common measures and methods of protection against water hammer, some simple numerical simulation researches are carried on about surge tower and air tank against the water hammer, pointing out the air tank is more suitable for water hammer protection in cross-sea water pipeline...
