Reliability Of Urban Rail Transit Network

With the development of urban rail transit, the problem of urban rail transit network reliability has taken more and more concern. In recent years, almost in each year, there were new metro lines opened in Beijing. With the expansion of rail transit network scale and improvement of function, Beijing rail transit network presents some characteristics of complex networks. Through the study of the characteristics of urban rail transit network, this paper made a study of the rail transit network reliability with the theory of complex networks.This paper mainly focuses on three problems, how to measure the reliability, what kind of city rail transit network has good reliability and how to obtain city rail transit network with good reliability, which aims to make the building of city rail transit network more reasonable, prevent the spread of rail network disaster and reduce the network loss when unexpected condition occurs, in order to improve the service quality of rail transit network.This paper combined the previous study and then presented the definition of reliability of rail transit network; also determine the evaluation index from three aspects: network connectivity reliability, travel time reliability and network survivability and invulnerability. This paper took the rail transit network of Beijing as an example, studied the reliability of rail transit network and made a conclusion that Beijing rail transit network has good network connectivity, and Line10has a great effect on the whole rail transit network connectivity.The topological model of Beijing rail transit network was built, then with Visual Studio programming, calculating the characteristic value of the rail network. In Beijing rail transit network topology model, through the simulation of random attack and selecting attack, the Beijing rail transit network survivability and invulnerability was studied, the key hub stations in the network was also pointed out, and then puts forward some reasonable suggestions for the rail transit network operation and management.
