ABSTRACT:In recent years, with the development of the high speed railway, more and more high speed trains run on rails in China. Meanwhile, the infection of the harmonic currents generated by the line-side converter of the high speed train is more serious than before. The time-varying resonance phenomenon is one of the problems. Based on the resonance accidents in actual operation, the resonance caused by the mismatch between the high speed train and the power supply line and the high characteristic frequency suppression method are analyzed in this paper.The generation mechanism of resonance is investigated based on the traditional power supply line simulation model first. Then, according to Beijing-Shanghai line and CRH-380A, the simulation model is built with the MTL model. The characteristic of harmonic current generated by the high speed train is mentioned. The influence by switching frequency, line-side voltage wave motion and load power variety is discussed. It’s resulted that high frequency resonances may cause the high value of harmonic voltage. The characteristic of resonance impedance is calculated and simulated. The regularity of resonance frequencies and the characteristic of resonance voltage are expounded and analyzed in details. So are its influencing factors.With the results, an suppression method of the resonance voltage is proposed in this paper. In this method, the line-side resonance frequency can be identified by a line-side parameters identification method. The parameters of PWM rectifier are changed to keep away from the resonance frequency based on the resonance frequency. In this way, the line-side voltage can be avoided. An experiment platform is built to simulate the train and power supply line system. With the platform, resonance phenomenon is imitated and the suppression method is verified.
