It summarized to explain the harmonic pollution and governance issues.Describes the active power filter and the basic working principle of the main circuit, in thisconnection from the grid in terms of active power filters have been classified,outlines how theywork and the circuit structure and gives a three-phase three-wire shunt active power filtermathematical model and analysis of its structure and working principle of the main circuit. Thendescribed detection algorithm and ai p iqdetection algorithm is proposed based oninstantaneous power theory and The Validity is proved by using MATLAB simulation software.Second, the focus of this article is focused on the control of the active filter, according tothe study of the attenuation control and power function characteristics,the Phenomenon ofHarmonic suppression is better after combining with Sliding Mode Control and Improve powerquality. Two new control methods are proposed in the paper:Control algorithm of Sliding Mode Control Based on variable rate reaching lawControl algorithm of Sliding Mode Control Based on Improved saturation function.Finally, carry on the simulation to the control system by using MATLAB simulationsoftware.
