On Protecting And Developing Of A Historical And Cultural Village-Loutian, Daoxian, Hunan Province

Ancient villages, the most direct and important reflection of Chinese rural life, are the spiritual wealth of history. To this end, the author uses literature search method, summarized method, by field survey, from the analysis of the conservation status of Loutian, combining relevant theoretical knowledge, to explore and raised protection and development planning of Loutian.The main findings are as follows:(1) Based on the differences ideas on how to protect and develop ancient towns and villages during various eras and countries, the paper summarizes theory and practice research progress on the protection and development of ancient towns and villages both home and abroad.(2) The main problems of Loutian which are:①the backword in economy, the low investment on protecting and developing.②The shortcomings of culture quality,the damage of old building group.③The inadequate of tourism development.④The backword ideas of tourism developing.(3) The paper proposes proper plans of Loutian, including:①To protect ancient village should follow principles of integrity and sustainable;②To determe protection frame and protection zone;③Due to the different damage levels of ancient building,the paper raises relevant measures to rebuild, improve and remove the ancient building;④To protect the non-material culture, the paper suggests establishing ways like to set up museum,long-term mechanism and family inheritance.(4) The paper proposed relevant developing plans of Loutian, including:①Ancient villages’ developing should follow the principles such as the combinations of legacy protection and developing, the combination of culture authenticity and tourism commercialization,the combination of integrity and individuation, as well as combination of tourism developing and new rural construction;②Base on the resources and potential resources that the ancient village obtains,to determe the tourism culture and the range of tourists;③To increase the ancient village tourist reception capacity by strengthening the tourism infrastructure of ancient village;④To develop the ancient villages, the way to marketization must be adhered to, promoting the all-rounddevelopment of tourism.Loutian village is one of the typical ancient villages with long historic and cultural connotation, abundant and various viewing value and research value. The research on protection and development of Loutian is not only conducive to the construction of the ancient village, but also conducive to the continuation of China’s history and traditional culture.
