Hydro-pneumatic spring, which is widely used in the automotive and aerospace, is one of the key components of hydro-pneumatic suspension. Now, in China, only a small number of units can complete the design of hydro-pneumatic spring. And the quality fell behind. So the design of hydro-pneumatic spring has a great significance on the improvement of independent research ability and building national brands.According to the hydro-pneumatic spring principle and the technical requirements, the structure design of hydro-pneumatic spring is completed. By using ANSYS software, the finite element analysis of hydro-pneumatic spring has been done, and it is shown by the results that the hydro-pneumatic spring in this paper meets the work requirements; According to fluid mechanics, the nonlinear mathematics model of a hydro-pneumatic spring is established, and by using MATLAB software, the characteristic simulation of the stiffness, damping and output power have been completed. Based on the results, the disciplines, which are the effects of different parameters on the working characteristics, are summarizedThese datas and conclusions have a certain reference value for the design and analysis of hydro-pneumatic springs in the future.
