Researching on satellite-to-ground laser communication is becoming a trend of development in laser communication technologies. Based on the design requirements of the project, in this thesis, double-wedge acquisition system for GEO-to-ground laser communication terminal is designed and researched.Considering of the space environment constraints, the course acquisition technical indicators are determined first of all. Double-wedge is chosen to be the final plan among various forms of acquisition systems by comparison and analysis. According to the optical theory of rotating double wedges, its mathematical model is established. Analysis of the system’s resolution and rotational speed are accomplished based on it. Structural design of the whole system with a gear normal backlash eliminating mechanism is completed.After establishing the mechanical structure, stress analysis, modal analysis and heat distribution are performed using software ANSYS. Also, the accuracy analysis of the system is accomplished and verified. Control system for acquisition performance is built at last.
