Substation is the center of power grid system used to converting voltage and distributing charge. For the purpose of ensuring the healthy and rapid development of power grid, it’s necessary to perform the substation upgrading and reform activities properly. As long as the generalization of smart grid in Cangxian County, the various devices integrated in the power grid system are required to coordinate and cooperate with each other. The acquisition device plays an irreplaceable role in the system as an important smart device, as it’s impossible to bring other smart devices into fill plan in the system without it. Therefore, it’s required to make great effort to upgrade and reform the acquisition system as it’s a bottle neck for the safe operation of power grid economy. 110 kV Nandapu Remote Acquisition Substation is the key construction projects for Cangxian County Power Supply Company in 2014.In accordance with the specification and provision defined in the "Code for Design Electric Power Supply Systems", "Power User Electric Energy Data Acquisition System Functional Specification", "Code for Design of 35~110kV Electric Substation", "Power User Electric Energy Data Acquisition System Communication Protocol: Master Station and Data Acquire terminal Communication Protocol ", "Power User Electric Energy Data Acquisition System Functional Specification: communication unit technology specification" and the demand of economic development of Cangxian County, and in consideration of development trend of remote acquisition system, this paper determines the main electric connection design, short circuit current calculation, lightning protection design, high-voltage electrical appliances selection and validation, gate acquisition system design, gate acquisition devices selection, installation, communication and commissioning for Nandapu Substation.The gate acquisition system of Nandapu Substation has completed the parameter archiving based on gate metering system of Hebei Southern Power Grid and integrates the remote acquisition device which combines a state-of-art acquisition device and a high precision smart meter. The gate acquisition device uses EDAD2001-H energy data acquisition device and 0.5S three-phase no-tariff-control smart energy meter as the gate meter. The master station and acquisition devices communicate through GPRS or CDMA. Acquisition devices and gate meter communicate through DL/T-645 protocol RS485 communication. It can achieve various functions, such as remote power cut-off and supply, on-line voltage and current monitoring, and real-time bus bar balance remote measurement. The combination of dual metering devices improves the accuracy of measuring significantly. And the design of 110 kV Nandapu Substation with remote acquisition function is completed properly.
