Analysis Of Landscape Planning Of Suburb Villages Of Hangzhou City

As an important part of urban regional structure, suburb acts as the transitional area betweenurban and rural environments and is also an active functional zone where the urban and ruralfunctions interpenetrate with each other and where the urban and rural economies develop in acoordinated way. The suburb village landscape, a perfect combination of culture and nature,displaying its ecological, economic, culture and aesthetic characteristics in the duration of itsplanning, is reconstructed on the basis of its natural landscape and thus a classic model of humanculture and nature merging together.As one of the eight famous ancient capitals in China, Hanzhou enjoys rich cultural deposits.In recent years, as its modernization accelerates, its suburbs have become key zones fordevelopment. As developers deepens their developing activities, the unique village landscapes ofthe suburbs have come into shape. However, we should bear in mind that such village landscapeshave been shaped in according to different planning, some of which are well done while others arepoorly done. This paper will mainly discuss the reasons why there exists the difference oflandscape planning, the characteristics of common village planning and how to plan suburbanvillages so as to make them better and more adapted to the needs of nature and cultures, all ofwhich are also major questions that current construction practice should take into considerations.Based on these questions, the paper mainly studies the eleven village planning models in thesuburb of Hangzhou by interviewing the locals in these villages and issuing questionnaires. Afteran careful analysis of the collected information, the villages with good planning and thecharacteristics of common village planning are identified. Based on such discoveries, the authorproposes detailed suggestions regarding how to improve the village landscape planning inHanzhou Suburbs, contributing a good theoretical and practical reference for the villagelandscapes planning in suburbs of China.
