With the ecological city’s proposed, enhancement of people’s environmental protectionand the aesthetic ideas,China’s booming hydraulic engineering has moved into the newstage, and a variety of time-saving, material saving, beautiful, environmentally friendlyhydraulic gates have been born. Based on the comparison and analysis of all sorts of gates’structure, type and characteristics, a new gate-stepladder landscape gate is proposed bythe researchers.The gate is composed of flat steel gate, bracket, hinges, and opening andclosing device, waterstop, chain fastener, scroll wheel and roller track joining with hoist.Comparison with ordinary gate, stepladder landscape gate has the advantages of simplestructure, easy to manufacture, installation, maintenance, flexible to opening and closing,low construction cost, nice, and it is easy to be in harmony with the surroundingenvironment and so on. Because the gate leaf structure uses point support, and it has largerflexibility, the calculation method is not yet mature. Traditional design methods oftenignore the structural integrity and spatial structure characteristics, so that the design resultsin some places is too conservative, and in some key parts is insufficient margin of safety,which severely constrain the promotion and application of new gates. This article uses theC++language, genetic algorithm, finite element software ANSYS and parametric designlanguage APDL to proceed structural calculation and optimization design of the gate, thespecific contents are as follows:Base on reading a lot of literature, stepladder landscape gate background is described,gate’s operation principle is analyzed, and the gate force balance equation is established.The gate leaf and bracket structure design and layout is detailed descripted, type andselection of opening and closing device is introduced, and the hoist force is given when thegate leaf is open, lay hold on and off.A three-dimensional structural analysis model based on ANSYS is created to calculatethe stress and deformation of the panel, the beams, girders and oblique beams and checkthe strength and stiffness of the gate leaf.The genetic optimization design method for stepladder landscape gate based on parametric design language APDL is proposed. The optimization design of the gate iscarried out by writing genetic algorithm optimization program of C++language, andopening software ANSYS for structural calculation through the system function call. Andthe stepladder landscape gate is optimized by using binary code design variables and theproblem of discrete variables and continuous variable hybrid coding is solved byintroducing the concept of accuracy, and the penalty function method is adopted totranslating strength constraint, stiffness constraint problem into unconstrained problem.The new panel thickness, beam system size and hinged level position is obtained afteroptimization.Finally, the research work of this article is summarized, and future research isdiscussed on the base of research results.
