River health had a serious impact on thedevelopment of human society. The rivers cut-out and water pollution made both sidesalong the river fall into the position without water and made the normal production andliving difficult to sustain. How to systematically evaluate the river health was takenseriously in the study of river, how to managing the unhealthy rivers became the directionof people’s exploration. The transformation of river evaluation concept enabled people torealize that the sustainable use of river resources was not only for creating economicbenefits, but also for the sustainable development of human society and the healthy rivershad a profound significance in the development of human society. River health is a naturalgood condition in the aspects of physics, chemistry and ecology, with sustainable socialfunction, which is expressed by the integrity.
