In terms of nowadays building structure, some high-rise buildings are oftendesigned as large chassis podium high-rise building structure system, which is oftenattached with one or more podiums. to meet the increasing requirement of thefunction. This kind of structure shape is complex and it is difficult to design. Thestiffness mutation caused by the distribution non-uniform of horizontal and verticalstiffness, increased the difficulty of seismic performance analysis. In the highintensity region, the isolation technology can improve the safety of the structure andprotect the equipment in the building. But for multi-tower base-isolated structure, itsperformance is not fully understood at present, and we haven’t find that how therelationship between foundation and tower isolation layer influence the isolationsystem performance,and other issues are still not entirely clear. In this paper, there isa deep and systemic analysis on the podium high-rise base isolation building, inorder provide certain basis for the future seismic isolation design with this kind ofstructure.First, series-parallel particle model of large podium high-rise building structureis established, and then the characteristic matrix of the specific structure is figuredout by using finite element method. Afterward, dynamic equation of the structureand discussion of the solving methods of equations are following, aiming at derivinga calculation formula for practice.Secondly, the calculation program is expected to be compiled using MATLABlanguage. This paper focuses on the reflect of the frequency of the structure,displacement of isolation layer, the ratio of main tower top shear and maximumacceleration on the change of podium floors, annex quality and stiffness of annexand isolation layer stiffness. And we will get a corresponding suggested value of stiffness ratio and mass ratio.At the same time, we will study on large double podiumbase isolated structure considering the changes of isolation layer stiffness; thedamping effect of main tower when the podium double podium floors are changed;the influence in main tower when the number of the floor is changed.Subsequently, we establish three models of high-level structure of the largechassis respectively with single, double and three podiums with the application of3dfinite element software SAP2000. Two kinds of natural vibration characteristicsrespectively considering isolation and non-isolation are estimated when the largechassis is either elastic or rigid. Furthermore, shock absorption effect of the maintower is also estimated specifically under condition of either elastic or rigid floorslab of the large chassis. In this paper, the storey number influence of large chassison structure is studied and four main subjects are analyzed when the large chassissystem applied in the high-rise building respectively with single, double, three,andfour base isolations, involving shock absorption effect of the main tower, surfacepressure value of the isolation layer, stigma shear force and bending moment.Finally, we aim at studying different kinds of isolation strategy. According, intwo kinds of schemes—isolation layer of laminated rubber bearings and elasticskateboard bearings, the damping effect of the main tower is compared.
