The Contextualized Expression Srategy Of Contemporary Landscape Architecture

Contemporary landscape architecture blurs the boundary between the artificialand natural, architectural and landscape. It becomes a new design strategy to form therelationship between architecture and site and enters into the mainstream view ofarchitecture creation. Therefore, the study of landscape architecture has positiveeffect for many disciplines such as Architecture, Landscape or even Urban Planning.However, the architecture significance behind the shape of landscape architecture andthe morphogenetic rules did not arouse enough attention. This paper introduces thecontextualization of the landscape architecture expression strategy, in order toemphasize the concordance between the architecture external form and the specificenvironmental context.In order to describe the inevitability of landscape architecture in the modern times, the paper reviews the development and theoretical background of landscape architecture. Then, the article draws on the concept of contextualization of linguistics, extends the idea into the field of architecture and discusses the contextualization of the landscape architecture. The thesis analyzes the characteristics of the contextualized landscape architecture in three dimensions, which are urban, rural and natural, bycase study. Ultimately, there design strategies for the contextualized landscape architecture are summarized: Adapt-environment, Create-environment and Anti-environment. Since the deficiency of the study of the landscape architecture in the countrysideand the natural environmental, the paper focuses on the morphogenetic logic of the landscape architecture in three contexts: urban, rural and natural. It is conducive to theformation of the system of landscape architecture research.This paper collects many constructions in progress and completed cases for casestudy. The analyze focus on the logic behind the external form of the landscapearchitecture and the operation strategy of the contextualization. I hope the collationand the summary about this topic that the paper emerges can be a guiding strategy forarchitectural practices.
