With the development of the automobile electronic technology, more and moreelectronic control devices were applied to car gradually, but these devices alsobrought many unfavorable factors, such as routing the wires on vehicle hardly,maintaining the malfunction and sharing the information difficultly during electroniccontrol units, and the reliability of the systems lower. Automobile body networktechnology can solve these problems and also make the electronic control systemmore humanized and intelligent.The history of automobile network technology and its application status isintroduced in this paper. The constitutional characteristic of automobile network isanalyzed and five key technologies about topological structure, informationtransmission scheme, application layer protocol, hardware and software aredesigned.The characteristics of the most common network topologies in LAN arecompared in this paper firstly, and a general design of network topology base onCAN/LIN hybrid bus and distributed control is designed. Packets andcommunication method of CAN communication protocol and LIN communicationprotocol are examined at last. On this fundament of above analysis, a mathematicalmodel of CAN bus transmission efficiency was built, which make the solution ofdata transmission in CAN bus by using standard data frame and compound datapacking, while in LIN bus, by using sporadic frame and unconditional frame torelease control command and to convey feedback, respectively. Application layerprotocols of CAN bus and LIN bus respectively were established according to thefunction of automotive network. Besides, the design of hardware and software arediscussed in this paper. The hardware design focuses on low power andanti-interference. While for software design, control command vector table andfeedback information vector table are proposed for the control structure. Finally, atesting platform is created to test and analyze the design, and the result indicates thatthe design meet the basic functional requirements and has a good performance.
