With the continuous development of Chinese transportation,roadbed diseases andthe subgrade deformation and slope instability and other security risks to road worksmore and more cause for people’s attention.Therefore,research subgrade soil resilientmodulus,characteristics of special soil settlement and slope stability has a veryimportant practical significance to road works,railway engineering and other fields.This article first systematic analysis of the status quo of the resilient modulus ofsubgrade soil,special soil settlement characteristics,slope stability.Then,on the basisof previous work,study the resilient modulus of subgrade soil,settlement characteri-stics of soft soil and permafrost,slope stability and other issues indepth and systematicbased on the basic theory of gene expression programming algorithm. Main contentcan be summarized as follows points:(1) Use of Gene Expression Programming algorithm analysis the relationshipbetween the subgrade soil modulus of resilience and the seven kinds of parameters inthe triaxial test,contrast with the neural network algorithm. Finally analyzes thedeviatoric stress, stress,water content and CBR volume on the influence of modulus ofresilience. Research indicates that gene expression programming algorithm is used toforecast rebound modulus of subgrade soil is a kind of very effective method.(2) Based on the bio-genetic theory of evolution,use gene expressionprogramming method to study the final settlement of soft soil and soft soil foundationtreatment,the thickness of soft soil,soft soil compression modulus,the thickness of thehard layer,hard layer compression modulus,height of the embankment,the construc-tion period,the completion of the settlement. Analysis of the relationship between thepermafrost thaw settlement and the liquid limit,plastic limit,the powder claycontent,dry density and moisture content,sensitivity analyzes were performed on asingle factor. Through comparative analysis,get some useful conclusions that certainguiding significance to reduce the roadbed disease.(3) Application of gene expression programming algorithm and maximumlikelihood estimation method which based on statistics study of slope stabilitycharacteristics.The studies have shown that: the Gene Expression Programmingalgorithm is a reliable method that can be able to effectively overcome theinadequacies of maximum likelihood estimation method of the traditional vector machine and other methods.Finally,in a comprehensive summary of the full-text basis of their work,madesome suggestions and prospects for further research.
