Power system comprehensive load modeling is the fundamental research topic inPower system research field.Currently,Component-based approcach andMeasurement-based approach are the most basic and important methods for loadmodeling. Load model parameters online correction method greatly meet the demandof grid online simulation calculation on load model parameters time-varying.A largenumber of experimental simulation and practical operation show that: load model willhave serious impact on power system of power Angle stability, voltage stability andpower flow calculation,So, it is particularly important to research and identify theload model which can accurately reflect the actual situation.To improve the accuracyof power load model requires not only a large number of reliable measurement dataand the effective load modeling method,but also a corresponding comprehensive loadmodeling support system. The development of load modeling technique supportsystem has very important significance to obtain accurate real-time load model, tomaintain the safe and stable operation of power grid,what’s more it can greatlypromote engineering practical load modeling technology.In order to realize the comprehensive load modeling technology for the purposeof engineering application, this paper mainly focus on the following severalaspects:First, from the function of the technical support system (platform) to realize,this article studies the system interface compiler environment, database managementsystem, programming language for software requirements, Take the object-orienteddesign method and the way of modular structure design thought, Using VS2005asplatform build environment, with SQL2000as the database management system, andusing dynamic link library (DLL) technology to realize the combination of variousmodules, this series of software technology lay the software foundation for theconstruction of the whole support system.Second, according to the current loadmodeling technology situation and development trend, Three kinds of wide-areaonline comprehensive load modeling are introduced in detail,including Statisticalcomprehensive load modeling、Overall measurement modeling technology and Loadmodel parameters online correction method. Based on statistics theory, statisticalcomprehensive load modeling uses the weighted method and the typical power loadcharacteristic,step by step,finally gets the substation`s integrated load model parameters.Overall measurement modeling with field measured data as data sample,through identification model is determined, by means of the criterion of recognition,finally gets the integrated load model parameters of substation. With SCADA data andload control data as data source, through the establishment of the power balanceequation, Load model parameters online correction method builds a power balanceequation,and corrects load model parameters online which greatly meet the gridonline simulation calculation of load model parameters time-varying demand. Thesementioned three kinds of modeling methods laid the mature theoretical foundation forthe construction of the technical support system.Third, aiming at the deficiency oftraditional data in the load modeling application, we proposed using the wide-areamulti-source heterogeneous data source as the modeling data source. According todifferent data sources, this paper proposed a set of effective data collection andpretreatment method, and build the database management platform which provides asolid data support for load modeling technique. Finally, based on the comprehensiveload modeling technology, we used the multi-source heterogeneous data, design anddevelop the electric power system comprehensive load modeling support system.Based on the structured design thought and the object-oriented design thought, thewhole support system use SQL Server2000Server relational database as the datamanagement and the visualization Visual2005as an integrated developmentenvironment. The system consisted of a database management platform and thecomprehensive load modeling platform. the database management platform includesfive modules: Faults recorder database management module、PMU/WAMS databasemanagement module, EMS/SCADA database management module,Load control datamanagement module,Survey statistics database management module. Comprehensiveload modeling platform consisted of Component-based modeling platform,Measurement-based modeling platform and Load model parameters online correctionplatform.With the goal of engineering practical,This system holded the characteristicsof mature theoretical basis, clear interface, simple operation, flexibleapplication,easily to extend,and can be promoted in wide scope.Currently,the support system has achieved all its functions. In Hunan electricpower dispatching center, this system had passed test and operation stability.Meanwhile, through the adoption of this support system, the comprehensive loadmodel parameters for all the220kV substations in hunan power grid were obtained.After verification, were true and correct.The work of this paper greatly promote the engineering application of load modeling.
