At present, in the armed forces, the maintenance of the armored vehicle are mainly regular maintenance and corrective maintenance, both of these maintenance have some deficiencies. Regular maintenance will lead to excess maintenance or inadequate maintenance. While corrective maintenance, that is not bad no repair, implies huge security risk. In view of this, the gearbox spindle of the armored vehicle is taken as the research subject, fault dynamic characteristics research on the spindle crack and bend is carried out, besides, dynamic simulation on the transmission based on virtual prototyping technology are discussed. This method provide some theoretical guidance for condition-based maintenance of the transmission spindle failure, The main points of the thesis are listed below.Firstly, fault dynamics characteristics research on crack spindle and bent spindle is done, because of this, some regularity of the influence on system dynamics because of speed and the degree of fault is obtained.The mechanical failure simulation bench of the SpecctraQuest company of the United States is taken as the research subject, and then its dynamics simulation and experiment is carried out, the experimental results show that the simulation method is correct, which provides some theoretical guidance for the gearbox dynamics simulation in the follow-up study.Three-dimensional solid models of the various parts of the transmission are built in the SOLIDWORKS environment, on this basic, assembly model is completed. Then the assembly model is import into ADAMS and kinematics simulation is carried out. At the same time, modal analysis of the spindle is conducted in ANSYS and some regularity of the influence on natural frequency of the spindle because of crack and bending is obtained.Finally, the transmission is simulated in the ADAMS environment in three different states, such as normal spindle, crack spindle and bending spindle. Through the analysis of simulation results, some regularity of the influence on dynamic characteristics of the transmission because of crack and bending is obtained.In this paper, the theoretical basis is provided for the spindle fault diagnosis of armored vehicle transmission.
