The front-support form travelers of single plane cable-stayed bridge is also called guyedtraveler, which is an important equipment for building main girder of cable-stayed bridge. It’sfunction is directly related to the safety and quality of cable-stayed bridge, and the static playsan dominant role in the force acting on the guyed traveler, so it is vital to study the staticbehavior of guyed traveler. In the background of Fanhegang Bridge, this paper is to find outthe unsafe of guyed traveler by numerical simulation in order to set the experimentobservation points, to eliminate elastic deformation of guyed traveler and to ensure the safetyof the using by doing field test. Comparing the results of tests and simulation, this thesisanalyses the reason of error and improves the structure of guyed traveler by numericalanalysis of proving the fact that improved structure can effectively reduce sedimentationvalue of the edge of flange plate,drawing on external prestressed technology.Guyed traveler is a temporary structure. There is basically no domestic or internationalcase study on guyed traveler reliability presently. Most of the guyed traveler numericalanalysis are based on deterministic finite element simulation, which does not account theuncertainty of external factors and internal factors. In this paper, the reliability of guyedtraveler is taken into consideration because the guyed traveler is important to constructionquality of cable-stayed bridge. The method of Kriging is used to calculate the reliability andto establish the improved response surface based on Kriging, combined with the Monte CarloMethod, Latin Hypercube Sampling Method and Genetic Algorithm. With the help of Matlab,this paper forecasts the Kriging model, and calculates structural reliability with differentrandom variables by integrating the finite element model created by ANSYS and the loopiteration of Matlab. The method of this paper is validated to be efficiency and feasibility in thefield of reliability through four numerical examples, and used to solve reliability ofserviceability limit state of actual project. The results show that the guyed traveler owns ahigher reliability index.
