With the voice of the people for the environment with a higher quality is becoming louderand louder, natural gas as a low-carbon and clean energy, is also becoming increasinglypopular in the city gas application with the national backbone network construction in recentyears, and natural gas has become a major city gas source, following natural gas peakingproblem becoming very prominent. The gas supply tension is frequent everywhere, meaningthe country’s lack of natural gas peaking ability. According to experience of foreign developedcountries whose gas application is earlier, natural gas storage capacity is the key to solvingpeaking problem. It s nessary to make a detailed research on natural gas s peaking mold,which can supply an optimization way for further region peaking.Based on the analysis of the existing domestic and foreign modes of natural gas supplyand peaking, and in the cases of Beijing and Shenzhen, modes of natural gas peaking in thenorth and south region are analyzed. Having analyzed and compared a variety of ways ofnatural gas peaking, calculation of pipeline gas reserve capability, LNG terminal main processand equipment are highlighted. Pointing out that the development of LNG terminal as themain peaking facilities in the southern region is more favorable. While emphasizing on thegas management of the demand side, which gives priority to peaking users and thus reducesthe demand for peaking facilities and the long-term risk of take or pay contracts. Pearl RiverDelta region is the country’s main natural gas load demand centers, after the formation of thepeaking market in the region, better economic benefits can be achieved taking advantage ofexisting peaking resources.For the construction of the receiving station, the paper sets Shenzhen City as an example,starts from the peak demand, and determines the future demand and peaking capacity fornatural gas in Shenzhen through study of the load forecasting method.After analysis ofvarious possible peaking ways and determine the full use of existing high-pressure pipelinefor peaking, Shenzhen should take advantage of the coastal location, builds its own smallpeaking station and determine process design that the station is the main peaking functionrelying on city gas and that LNG tanker trade is the supplement. By major equipmentintroduction and comparison, the major equipment selection is made, and for the entire terminal building, the security and social impacts are described, the entire economy ofoperation is analyzed, and suggestions are proposed.This idea of this study providesconstruction and operation of the small gas station (gasification station) relying on the towngas a reference method.
