Throughout the history of the development of the cities around the world, Mesopotamia,the Aegean Sea, the Mediterranean, the Nile Basin and the Yellow River Basin are theprosperity of ancient civilization birthplace in centuries. With the development of the city andthe expanding range of human activities, civilized urban environment has gradual degraded.With the modern point of view, the unreasonable development and utilization of the urbanriver landscape lead to the migration of the centers of civilization and he city deserted.Entering21centuries, scientific and technological progress, and economy leap forward. Theexpansion of the urban space had a bad effect on the urban river water cycle, city waterdistribution and urban water quality. The additive effect of these influences is sufficient tocause the deterioration of the urban river area environment, which spread to the city and urbanriver landscape environment.Urban river landscapes highlight the city’s unique waterfront charm, which is the idealplace to the city public entertainment, the drainage and waterlogging and business gathering.An urban river landscape is the city’s ecological region which integrates artificial landscapewith natural landscape. With the development of society, river landscape reconstruction hasbecome an important means to restore urban ecology, enhance the image of the city andpromoting urban economic prosperity. It does also protect the ecological and historical valueof waterfront space.Summing up the the successful experience of river landscape reconstruction at home andabroad as the theoretical basis of the Tai’an city river landscape reconstruction provide thebasis for the Tai’an city river landscape reconstruction.
