Due to improper upfront design or construction, or is not detailed to geological conditions, are likely to lead to fill slope during construction or operation period reinforcing failure, excessive settlement or even partial or whole sliding instability and so on. If in the early stages of the slope showed signs of failure to timely reinforcement, the slope can often achieve the purpose of prevention and control of slope disasters or avoid reconstruction.A high fill slope treatment of a converter station in Yunnan Province as the research object, through field survey, theoretical analysis, field test and monitoring, the deformation causes, treatment plan and treatment effect of the high fill slope has been systematically studied. The main research work and achievements are as follows:(1) through field survey and field investigation, found that the fill slope composed of abandon backfill soil from excavation area, due to not mixed with gravel in the construction of the reinforced soil slope, and the compaction degree is low, the actual comprehensive internal friction angle is less than the design requirements, lead to partial slope section of the settlement and horizontal displacement overrun situation, some more tension cracks to appear on the slope, slope showed signs of damage, serious threat to the safety of the slope around.(2) based on site during the construction monitoring analysis, combined with the topography and soil conditions, puts forward the fill slope reinforcement area; through reinforcement scheme comparison and analysis, puts forward using steel pipe grouting+anti-slide pile or steel pipe grouting treatment scheme for the high fill slope deformation control.(3) based on the steel pipe grouting field test and analysis of grouting effect, the steel pipe grouting structure and arrangement are designed, the grouting parameters are calculated; based on the analysis of typical cross-section, steel pipe grouting+anti-slide pile or steel pipe grouting treatment plans has been designed.(4) based on field acoustic testing and drilling sampling test after reinforcement, the steel pipe grouting used to fill slope reinforcement effect and its applicable condition are discussed; the steel pipe grouting is suitable for the gravel soil slope reinforcement and does not apply to cohesive soil slope reinforcement are pointed out; based on the field monitoring of the reinforced, the effectiveness of reinforcement design is showed.
