The cycloid-pin planetary transmission have lots of remarkable characteristics such as a large range of transmission ratio, high carrying capacity, compact structure, high reliability,etc. thus it obtained extensive applications. One of the latest developed driving device round the world is the type of FA cycloid pin gear planetary gear reducer.In the process of production, the shape and structure for different series of cycloidal pinwheel transmission have same features, only exist certain difference on the shape, size or individual local features, repeating modeling and analysis are bound to affect the production efficiency. if we are able to derive different models from a template model, form a system of parameterized modeling and finite element analysis, users only need to input parameters of different model, the system can generate the model and get the analytical result, then we can greatly improve the efficiency.Based on the analysis for main components of FA-type cycloid-pin planetary transmission, we replace the parameters of the stereo type products in system of seriation, generalization and standardization, changing with different specifications for product,with the corresponding variable, through changing of variables, we achieve the parametric design for mechanical parts with the same structure.At first, this article using VB programming language, set up theory analysis system for FA-type cycloid-pin planetary transmission mechanism, mainly including the modified quantity calculation, Needle tooth stress analysis and calculation, pin stress analysis and calculation, etc. saving the calculation results, serve as the basis of finite element analysis.And then select the SolidWorks modeling software, apply the embedded VBA language (simplified version of the VB) to proceed parametric modeling for the teeth, the dowel pin and the simplified model of cycloid gear of FA4559type needle cycloid gear transmission and parametric assemble for cycloidal-pin gear and output mechanism, greatly save the time of design and modeling.The Generated model imported into the finite element analysis system in Ansys, After format conversion in SolidWorks. similarly, in order to avoid a large number of repetitive work, this article uses APDL (Ansys Parametric Design Language) Language inside of the Ansys, to proceed the parametric Design of the model finite element analysis, including the definition of grid partition and control, define material, define load and boundary conditions, analysis controlling and solving, etc. In order to realize comprehensive of the theoretical analysis, we added startup of Ansys in the system,realized intuitive comparison between the theory calculation and parametric calculation results, Error is within the scope of the permit, so as to greatly save the manual analysis of the amount of time, the efficiency is improved. Finally using VB language to realize the connection with SolidWorks software and Ansys software, and respectively parametric finite element analysis of FA type needle swing drive parametric modeling and finite element analysis system of established the general transmission and high precision including best modification quantity calculation and needle teeth, dowel pin stress calculation, the theory of parametric modeling, parametric finite element analysis of FA type needle swing drive parametric modeling and finite element analysis system, realized the parametric and serialization design and analysis.
