The Kindergarten Design Methods Based On The Montessori Education Concept

Kindergarten, as an important transition carrier from family to social, which is the place for preschool education to carry out, plays an important role in the modern preschool education. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to put the achievements of the contemporary excellent infant education into kindergarten design. In recent years, the concept of Montessori education draws a widely public attention. It is based on the preschool education, child psychology, physiology and serves the same function as Quality Education. Montessori teaching research has stepped into the orbit of scientific system, and become the focus topic of the ministry of education in our country pre-school education. How to combine the Montessori education idea and kindergarten design is the purpose of this paper.In the concept of Montessori education, there are expounds about children’s natural development, sensitive period education, sensory education. For kindergarten design, the concept is mainly reflected in the "Environmental education".We should provide a prepared environment to children by creating suitable Indoor and outdoor environment, Decorating rich function space, carrying on reasonable scale, color and model design.The paper’s arrangement is as follows.Firstly, reviewing and summarizing the points of the Montessori education, and find out the necessity of study of Montessori education concept. Secondly, sum up the combination of the modern education idea and kindergarten design, to find out the applications in the kindergarten design which are inspired by the concept of Montessori education. Then, analyzing the status quo of domestic kindergarten architectural design and listing the mainly existing problems. According to the previous research, expounding the kindergarten design methods which are based on the Montessori education concept. The methods are including the indoor activity space, outdoor activity space, and transitional space. At last, optimizing and analyzing the design scheme, putting the design method into the solution.
