As the vehicle population ceaselessly, the contradiction between environmentalprotection and economic development has become increasingly prominent. How tosustain the balance among economic development, environmental protection andresource utilization has become the focus of the world’s attention. Due to thecharacteristics of relatively simple structure, low noise, non-pollution, and zerorelease, the electric vehicles have been highly attached important by the automotiveindustry. At present the development of pure electric vehicles still have manydeficiencies, there are many problems such as high battery cost, long charging timesand short life. In addition the endurance mileage is another key problem to limitingthe rapid spread of electric vehicles. From increasing the vehicle endurance mileageand enhancing the vehicle dynamics point of view, this dissertation matched thepower train parameter for the electric city bus, and analyzed the power consumption.This dissertation researched two kinds power train structures of electric city busfixed ratio and AMT with three gearboxes. Based on the given dynamic performancerequirements of vehicle selected the power battery and drive motor. Based oneconomy requirements of vehicle selected the battery capacity. From maximumspeed and maximum gradient point of view, design the transmission ratios of vehicle.Power train transmission ratio optimization was the critical part of this dissertation,according to the parameter optimization, it could increase the vehicle endurancemileage, improve the dynamic performance of vehicle and the efficiency of thevarious components of the vehicle. In this dissertation, built an objective functionrelated to optimization parameters based on the Chinese typical cycle run, usedparticle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize the transmission ratio.In this dissertation, the simulation models were built in CRUISE software, twokinds of simulation models respectively simulated with Chinese typical cycle run. The results shows that parameters matched was reasonable and meet the setperformance targets of vehicle, and analyzed the power consumption of vehicle indifferent power train architectures, relative to the electric city bus with fixed speedratio, the bus with AMT transmission could save power consumption about1.9%,the electric city bus with AMT transmission can save power consumption about5%after optimization. Finally this dissertation simply analyzed economy, comparedwith the operating costs of traditional fuel vehicles, the electric city buses with fixedratio in the8-year service period of city bus could save operating cost490,400Yuan,and the electric city buses with AMT could save operating cost516,000Yuan afteroptimization.
