Tunneling is one part with more time-consuming, difficult, harsh working conditions of modern infrastructure projects. China is always a big country in infrastructure, especially since 2008, the policies,which were implemented to promote the railways, highways and airports and other major infrastructure construction, aim to expand domestic demand and to stimulate economic growth promote, the size of high-speed railway construction and the underground railway projects are unprecedented. Nevertheless, in front of the tunneling domestic relatively backward technology, especially the tunneling equipment backward, domestic tunnel excavation is difficult to achieve faster.The paper analyzes vehicle structure and the hydraulic system of Komatsu PC200-8 crawler type hydraulic excavator,establishing a drill jumbo design direction on this basis,establishing a drill jumbo coordinate system that jumbo size and movement between components can be transformed into an accurate calculation of the mathematical model.In this paper,the drilling processes are analyzed, and the analytical formulas of the force on the drill pipe are obtained..By response surface analysis, the empirical formula between the boom structure in a particular size and the maximum stress of boom is established, based on which particle swarm optimization algorithm is used in the boom structure optimization, and the results are verified.AMESim software is used to build the electric motor drill jumbo hydraulic system after the original excavator hydraulic system has been improved, and on the basis of the successful simulation experiments, the structures optimized design of hydraulic system accumulator is made through surface analysis, so as to achieve the jumbo to match the requirements of the power system. After the experimental simulation of optimized results,there is a prominent effect after proof optimization which improves the stability of the drill jumbo power system significantly. So far, the design and optimization of electrical power transmission systems matching jumbo are resolved.By using Arduino language to establish motor performance monitoring system, the jumbo user can always observe the working conditions of drill jumbo, and the users will be alerted by a signal in dangerous condition to ensure the normal operation of the drill jumbo and the safety of users.
