Gear is an important mechanical component.It play a dominant position in the mechanical transmission. Tooth surface friction in the gear drive caused mainly affects as reduce the transmission efficiency, increased tooth failure (wear, point corrosion, scuffing, break), cause vibration and noise. The friction loss is the most important factor of the gear transmission power loss. Especially in high-speed, heavy duty, high-power transmission system.Paper based on meshing principle gear dynamics, tribology and heat transfer, Use the Pro/E software establish the three-dimensional model, And use analyzing the model using the finite element software, there are the main contents of this article(1) Using Pro/E software establish spur gear model, using ANSYS software make the static analysis and compared with the classical Hertz contact theory.(2) compare assembly gear free state modal analysis with prestress state modal analysis, analysis gear stiffness nonlinear.(3) Analysis affect about speed and modification amount to gear dynamic load during transient contact.(4) Write MATLAB program to solve the EHL. Compared accuracy with the classic film formulas. Calculated the coefficient of friction under mixed lubrication. Heat flux density and distribution relations in the process of meshing. Calculate convection of meshing surface and end face.(5) Calculate several groups of gear steady-state temperature field in different repair top volume and roughness conditions under transient contact.
