Chinese traditional ancient village is an organic product which containingarchitecture,environmental and folk culture.Chinese traditional ancient village isprovided with a very high scientific value.But in recent years,along with the process ofurbanization and dramatic impact of commodity economy,ancient villages have beenlarge-scale transformation, and its highly distinctive regional scene aredisappearing.Taking into account traditional ancient village unique environment for thegrowth of non-renewable and historical heritage vulnerability, how to continue theancient village of regional style, and coordinate the Interests among the variousstakeholders, experts in various research areas and architects have importantresponsibility.In this paper,in case of Changshan Village, Southwestern of Shandong,the writerthrough literature review, field research, physical mapping and system analysis, carriedout research on the characteristic form of traditional residential flat building ofShandong Southwestern.Through the depth study of the plane in the form of traditionalresidential architecture, construction methods and decorative arts, I intending to raiseawareness for traditional architectures. So this paper will have a certain significance onexcavation, protection, inheritance and development of ancient villages and traditionalresidential buildings.
