Based on steering engine test bench research background and meaning as a starting point, the overview of the development of the automotive steering system is introduced firstly。And then introduced the steering engine test bench of the research status at home and abroad, and combining the test project requirement put forward five degrees of freedom steering vehicle simulation test bench overall functional requirements and technical requirements.According to the modular structure of the test stand design principle, the idea of the overall composition and layout program is draw, and then complete the overall design of the test rig. On this basis, some parts of the test rig is continued to carry out detailed design and selection, mainly including the selection of various types of sensors, the selection of hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders, parts of the design, and ultimately the successful completion of the test rigsystem design mechanical host.In addition, a modal analysis of the key parts of the hydrostatic bearing is completed in this paper. The hydraulic system and servo control system are also designed. Finally, the test bench machine has been debugged, and the debugging results to meet the expectation.It is proved that the test benchdeveloped is successful.The test bench structure and function in the innovation, it can simulate large load and high frequency incentives and do many kinds of test. The hydrostatic bearing is used to reduce the test bed vibration and noise, protect the hydraulic cylinder. The testing have a high precision. In the servo system aspects, using five channels electro-hydraulic servo full digital control system coordination control, has the high control precision, fast response, the band width test waveform characteristics of many kinds.
