Turbo engine can not only enhance the engine’s power and torque, but also improve fuelefficiency and reduce emissions. Impeller Parts is a core of key components of the turbine,its machining quality has a decisive impact on turbine performance, However, It’s difficult tomeet the design requirements only rely design, because of complex structure and leaf surfacecomplex. CAPP effectively connected CAD and CAM as a whole. Comparing to traditionalmanual design, CAPP system can be established for each designer to use process knowledge,combined decision-making and knowledge with advanced optimization algorithms,effectively solve problem as personnel alone analyze and treat large amounts of informationinefficient and error-prone. Strengthen collaboration of staff and greatly reduce the laborintensity of workers. Can significantly enhance the flexible manufacturing system, effectivelyimprove the product-situation of many varieties in small batch. Thus, with CAPP to improvethe level of process design and to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, CAPP becomethe focus of the impeller manufacturing company, so more and more companies haveestablished a complete manufacturing resource information and process design informationbased on CAPP system.Firstly, the CAPP system configuration and basic principle of the method are describedin this research. The express method knowledge and information parts from CAPP, includingpart features cell division, processing generators, using three-dimensional software PROEand programming software VB6.0established a paper manufacturing information database ofimpeller manufacturing process. Secondly, maked a presentation of the planning process ofimpeller such as selection of impeller blank, division of impeller stages of processing, selectmanufacturing resources, cutting parameters, planning and selection Tool path, impeller CAMautomatic programming. Lastly, studied the impeller parts routings generated from theprocessing element, used the improved ant colony algorithm generates impeller machining process route. Designed a set of impeller machining process decisions CAPP system throughVB6.0, ACCESS database and VERICUT CNC simulation.
