With the development of computer technology and electronic technology, embedded system play an increasingly important role in the defense, industrial, communications, transportation, consumer electronics and other fields, and have penetrated into almost every corner of our lives. CAN bus (Controller Area Network) is one of the the most widely international Fieldbus and CAN protocol has become the standard Bus protocol of automotive computer control system. Due to the excellent characteristics of the embedded system and CAN bus, CAN bus and embedded systems combine will have even broader prospects in the field of automotive electronics and industrial control etc. In this paper, the design of embedded automotive CAN bus control module as a background, respectively the design of CAN bus on embedded ARM11and microcontroller STC89C52was achieved, and man-machine interface based on Qt/E is designed. The paper firstly introduces the background and significance of the topic, the situation and development trend of automobile CAN bus and provides the main points of this article.Secondly, introduces the system’s software development platform and the hardware development platform which include ARM development board, STC89C52development board and CAN bus network and provides an overview on the S3C6410, STC89C52as well as CAN bus related chips.Lastly introduces the details of the system software design which includes STC89C52CAN bus programming and embedded CAN bus programming. STC89C52the CAN bus programming including CAN bus for packet receiving and collecting temperature and sent on the CAN bus; CAN bus embedded systems programming consists mainly of the CAN driver design, Qt/E application and display interface design section.
